Prof. Haldun YALÇINKAYA
Prof. Haldun Yalçınkaya received his Master’s degree in International Relations from Istanbul University in 1997 with a thesis on “Peacekeeping,” and completed his Ph.D. in 2004 with a dissertation on the “Transformation of War.” Following his doctoral studies, he conducted academic research at the University of Oxford, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and the University of Florida.
After serving for over a decade in the Dean’s Office of the Turkish Military Academy, he joined TOBB University of Economics and Technology in 2013. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at TOBB ETÜ.
Prof. Yalçınkaya has published numerous books, articles, and reports—both in Turkish and international platforms—on topics such as war, peacekeeping, new actors on the battlefield, and foreign terrorist fighters. He is also the principal investigator of the Turkey Peacekeeping Data Project (TÜBAKOV), accessible at: https://www.uik.org.tr/turkiye-barisi-koruma-veri-tabani-tubakov. He is also the coordinator of the Bodrum Institute, which aims to generate academic, economic, and social value within the higher education ecosystem by leveraging technological innovations and developing original approaches.
